Heather and Michael's wedding was definitely a highlight of the year for me already, and it just happened in May! Their style was as close to my personal aesthetic as you could possibly get, so it was a ton of fun to work with them over the course of the year. Being that their wedding took place on May 5, the couple decided to take full advantage of this and have a Cinco de Mayo theme. We had a margarita signature drink, Mexican tray-passed appetizers, custom papel picados, and even a pinata (spear-headed by a WONDERFUL employee at the venue!). The bright colors were gorgeous, and I suggested doing monochromatic centerpieces to add some interest to the room. The three things I always suggest my clients partake in to take a ballroom from blah to voila are lights, linens, and chairs- these elements really make all the difference to achieve a "wow factor". In addition to the gorgeous linens inside, we booked custom lemon and white striped belly bar linens for cocktail hour, and they were fun and fabulous! Lastly, Heather loved paper products and details, so we made sure the invitations matched the table numbers matched the drink signs matched the menu cards and so much more. Courtney from Brightly Designed took the ideas and ran with them. My sincerest gratitude goes out to La Vida Creations Photography for capturing this wedding so perfectly for our clients- I feel like I am back on the wedding day each time I look at the photos. Love the emotion captured! I could easily post every single photo from this wedding, as they are all that good. But for now, a few of my favorites and some awesome detail shots.
